CX-7 : Mazda’s New Tactics

New Mazda CX-7 is no longer wearing four-wheel drive. Wide range of features provided in lieu of Mazda. Can it attract consumers desire? Unlike its predecessor, the Mazda CX-7 is no longer wearing the latest four-wheel drive (AWD). Mazda reason to change the system of motion for CX-7 SUV is the customer are not so fond of 4×4 SUV. In terms of exterior design, the grille now wearing five-point design similar to that of the RX-8, MX-5 and new Mazda3. Grille accents that are equipped with large airdam intended to maximize air flow for 2.3-liter turbo engine’s CX-7. Fog lights framed sweeten the appearance of chrome accents. At the back, did not seem significant changes. New breakthroughs is only visible from the presence of rear view cameras at the top of the back door. In the interior, the most significant changes seen from the presence of 3.5-inch screen super-twisted nematic (STN) and 4.1-inch monochrome thin-film transistor (TFT) color that serves as a Multi Information Display (MID), which is positioned on top instrument panel to provide information about the condition of the car. Well, the screen also serves to show the environmental condition of the rear of the car when going backwards. Another change is the new dashboard and steering wheel with a new design was imbued cruise control, audio controls and MID controls. In the runway section, Mazda CX-7 kept the MZR type 2261 cc engine capacity, four-cylinder equipped with turbocharger, intercooler and Direct-Injection Spark Ignition (conditions). 6-speed transmission activematic selected (tiptronic). The good news is , the CX-7 capable of throwing power 235 hp at 5000 rpm with a torque of 350 Nm at 2500 rpm. It is a key strength supplement as well as system conditions turbointercooler (Direct-Injection Spark Inginition. Unlike ordinary injection system that injects gasoline into the air channel, sending conditions of high pressure fuel directly into the combustion chamber, and maximize combustion. Peak torque is obtained at low speed (2500 rpm) also supported the ferocity when accelerated.
Above 2500 rpm spin, CX-7 is more violent. Malignancy was balanced by controlling the engines are pretty good. Although the symptoms seem a little understeer when cornering, but overall control of the CX-7 can be relied upon. Thanks also to the width of the vehicle which reaches 1872 mm, rigid suspension tuning, as well as the presence of Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
Pros : Power of the machine ; Faster performance; Power grip and excellent control.
Cons : The view to the rear is not too perfect; Quite expensive for 4×2 SUV
