The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive-class cars that manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in various body configurations and engines. The E-Class engines and transmission are 3,498-cc DOHC 24-valve V-6 (E350 Sedan and Wagon),2,987-cc turbocharged DOHC 24-valve V-6 (E320 BlueTEC),5,461-cc DOHC 32-valve V-8 (E550),6,208-cc AMG-built DOHC 32-valve V-8 (E63 AMG). The E is stood for fuel injection in German, Einspritzung. Due to the E-Class’ size and durability, the cars also frequently serve as taxis in European countries, and Mercedes-Benz offers a taxi specification as well as other special-purpose vehicles (e.g. police or ambulance modifications) from the factory.
