The Subaru Tribeca is a crossover Sport Utility Vehicle sold by Subaru, a Japanese automaker. It was first sold as a 2006 model with five and seven-seat trims. The Subaru Tribeca was built on the Subaru Legacy platform. It was inspired by the B9X concept car and now evolved into its second styling generation.
The name Tribeca derives from a neighborhood of New York City, the TriBeCa. It is the only vehicle in this class that comes equipped with AWD as standard equipment. The Subaru Tribeca was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in late 2006, and it is not sold in Japan. It is mainly due to the similar Subaru Exiga sold in Japan.
