The Subaru Forester was made by the Japanese automaker, Subaru as all-wheel drive Compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) since 1997. The name Forester is coined to imply “a resident of the forest”. Subaru Forester is now marketed as a compact crossover and currently in its third generation. Up to the third generation, the Forester shared its platform with Subaru Impreza. Subaru Forster was designed and built with AWD as standard equipment. Subaru Forester originally introduced to the United States market in 1998.
