The Mazda 3 is a compact car manufactured in Japan by the Mazda Motor Corporation. In Japan, Mazda 3 is marketed as the Mazda Axela. The Axela introduced for the 2004 model year, replacing the Mazda Protégé / Mazda Familia. MazdaSpeed3, a more performance-oriented version on the Mazda3 marketed in North America. For European market, the version is Mazda3 MPS. The Mazda3 well-known by the automotive press for its handling, performance, interior and styling, and others describing it as feeling like a more expensive sport sedan despite its value-oriented price point. Mazda 3 was the second best-selling car in Canada in 2006, and the best selling car in Israel during 2005-2007. The worldwide demand for Mazda 3 is over 300,000 units per year. To meet this, Mazda is increasing production of the 3 at its factories in Hiroshima, Japan.
