Mazda RX-8 is the world’s first and only rotary-powered, four-passengers sport car. With its iconic styling, versatile interior and inspiring performance, the RX-8 dramatically resharpes the traditional sports car to better meet the needs of today’s sport car enthusiast.
For safety reasons, the RX-8 is equipped with power-assisted 4-wheel disc brakes with massive ventilated rotors. Anti-Lock Breaking System and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution were also equipped to help produce consistently linear, fade-resistant stops. Advanced dual front air bags for both front and rear seats are standard of RX-8. Side-Impact Energy can also be deflected in RX-8 because it has side reinforcement beams in four doors. The reinforcement beams and latch mechanism in the rear door provide excellent side-impact protection and eliminate the need for center pillars.
